Salla E-commerce Saudi Platform

Salla is a leading and successful e-commerce platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and let me admit, it holds the top position in terms of merchant subscriptions across all sizes and categories. Founded in 2016 by Nawaf Al-Hariri and Salman, Salla has grown to over 70,000 merchants. The platform boasts many unique technical features for store management, sometimes even surpassing Zid in certain aspects, and we must acknowledge that.

However, on the other hand, Salla does not offer setup services or consultations like Zid does, which provides direct communication with merchants. In Salla, your only point of contact is technical support, and account managers are only available for enterprise plans.

Recently, Salla secured an investment round worth 487 million SAR (130 million USD), led by Investcorp and Sanabil Investments, owned by the Public Investment Fund, along with previous investor STV.

What Does This Mean?

If we observe Salla's marketing on social media and its continuous advertising, the company has started expanding in terms of both employee numbers and marketing efforts. They've contracted with most influencers on Twitter and marketers, not to mention deals with football players!

I believe Salla will experience significant growth if it wisely leverages this funding for the benefit of itself and its merchants.

Does Salla Have Its Own Payment Gateway?

So far, Salla has not announced these systems or products, but anything is possible.

Are Salla and Zid Similar in Features?

Yes, to some extent, but Salla excels in details such as product file export methods and greater control over customer groups.

Salla also offers superior customization with CSS and JavaScript.

Does Salla Support Merchants from Gulf Countries?

As of now, no, unlike Zid.

Does Salla Have an App Like Mazeed for Targeting End Customers?

Yes, it is called Mohaly.

Is There a Free Plan on Salla?

Yes, unlike Zid.
